All connections – all devices

m2connectionmanager supports all connection and access types, among them: 2G/3G/4G Wireless Wide Area Networks (WWAN), GSM (GPRS/EDGE/UMTS), WCDMA (HSDPA, HSUPA, DC-HSDPA, HSPA+), WiMAX, and LTE (Long Term Evolution), in addition to LAN, Cable, FTTH, and DSL. This way, subscribers can easily switch from mobile Internet to LAN, or search for new Wi-Fi networks, all with the same connection management software.

It works perfectly with both embedded devices and USB dongles manufactured by Huawei, ZTE, Samsung, Bandrich Inc., Sony Ericsson, Qualcomm, Option, and basically all other devices that support the following standards: Windows® Mobile API, NDIS, AT commands, and Gobi™ (2000/3000). This enables ISPs to pursue a vendor independent strategy.

Branded and informative GUI

m2connectionmanager can be easily branded to meet an operator’s requirements. We took care to leave enough space for logos and taglines. Our Graphical User Interface design has one central feature: the connect button, displaying the most essential information about the connection. While the display of all information is optional, consumers value having all important data in clear view (connection status, new SMS, connection type, upload and download speed, selected network, etc.) as well as quick access to support options and settings.

The centerpiece of our design is the connect button. One click and subscribers are online with all devices, all connection types, all operators, on Mac OS X and Windows alike.

Profile management and support for all operators


m2connectionmanager is able to load and manage various user profiles based on SIM, IMSI, and user credentials. This way our connection management software for mobile Internet supports all operators in all countries. Following profile settings can be edited: APN, SMSC, TCP/IP settings, DNS settings, protocols (PAP, CHAP, etc.); the included profile manager even supports different skins based on – for example – APN information, enabling mobile operators to use one connection manager for multiple brands and Virtual Mobile Network Operators, in one or more countries.

SMS & contact management

m2connectionmanager includes contact management and a fully functional SMS client. Contacts can be imported comfortably from the client machine or SIM card. Pop-up notifications on receipt of SMS can be enabled to alert the user; this is especially useful when operators are required to inform subscribers when certain data limits are reached. m2connectionmanager offers support for multi-part SMS, flash SMS, delivery notifications, message forwarding and contact management.

Refinancing through advertising

m2connectionmanager’s direct marketing module dynamically fetches information from advertising servers and displays targeted advertising on the consumer desktop. The ad-banner of m2connectionmanager is based on HTML and can include all types of web content (HTML, Flash, images). The banner is clickable and serves as a link to an operator selected website. Once users click on the ad-banner the standard browser will open. Endless possibilities for ad based refinancing. m2connectionmanager is both an indispensable connection manager and a great advertising tool.
