EWE’s HilfeCenter is the first app by mquadr.at for a regional energy supply company, that also operates as a regional Internet provider. Based on the latest m2suite mobile, EWE’s HilfeCenter offers all the tools customers need to manage their everyday Internet life – carefree and by themselves. Our new customer EWE provides its end-customers not only with DSL, but for some years now also with state-of-the-art fibre optic Internet. m2suite mobile is the perfect product for setting up and managing these Internet technologies. As an already market-proven app, it has been used by major Internet providers for a long time and is constantly being further developed by mquadr.at.
One of the core features of the HilfeCenter is the Internet first time setup for All-IP connections. EWE is continuously pushing ahead with the expansion of the fibre optic network in the northwest of Germany and therefore has many customers who are already accessing this modern, high-speed network. Thusly, in addition to the classic setup assistant for DSL connections, the EWE HilfeCenter also offers a completely new guide for fibre optic connections. When starting this Internet setup feature, the users can conveniently have their router recognized by the app’s integrated OCR scan. This scan is a new feature on both iOS and Android and makes it even easier for users to connect to their own Wi-Fi/router. Instead of entering the data manually, users simply position the smartphone’s camera over the label on the router, which contains all the necessary Wi-Fi data. Once the router is detected, users select their connection type (e.g., fibre optic or DSL connection) to begin the setup. This ensures that all EWE Internet customers receive the appropriate support for setting up their Internet connection.
Of course, it is also important to evaluate one’s own connection quality. With the feature “Measure Wi-Fi signal”, users can start a measurement of the Wi-Fi reception quality and walk through their home while doing so. During the measurement, different measurement points (e.g., different rooms) can be named in order to better track the course of the reception quality after the measurement is completed. This makes it very easy to find weak points within the Wi-Fi coverage and to eliminate them – for example by using a Wi-Fi repeater.
The EWE HilfeCenter app provides Android and iOS customers with support on all topics related to their Internet access. From setting up the router and the Wi-Fi connection, optimizing the Wi-Fi and home network to various measurement tools and advanced router control: all these functions are just one click away on smartphone or tablet. The app also provides customers with additional content on various related topics, e.g., tips & tricks for the best Wi-Fi reception at home, so that already existing support solutions from EWE are also quickly and easily accessible in the EWE HilfeCenter app. As a result, the EWE HilfeCenter bundles all the information and tools that customers need for a carefree everyday Internet experience.
