WiFi module – self-service for wireless home networks
- Significantly reduce WiFi-related calls to your customer support hotline with lasting effect
- Easy configuration, administration and optimisation for wireless home networks
- Integrated WiFi widget with real-time status information and quick router management
Our WiFi module extends the scope of features of m2suite, helping your customers to get most out of their home network. This includes our unique channel optimization routine, which automatically sets the best channel to guarantee high quality WiFi even in highly populated areas.

An analysis of the WiFi surroundings calculates the best available channel and triggers a switch to this channel. The analysis includes channel load, signal strength and overlap, using a proprietary algorithm. The result is visualized, and the optimal channel is automatically set on the router.

This includes all WiFi-related router configurations. Switch WiFi on/off, (de)activate a guest account, switch channels, change login details, etc. Settings normally accessed via the device web GUI can be changed via the easy-to-use interface.

- Automated connection setup with WiFi profiles filed on the operating system or the ISP interface
- Manual WiFi setup (e.g. input of the network security key when clicking on a secured radio network, security check of the used key included – assistant for the generation of a secure network security key)
- WPS – WiFi setup by keystroke (incl. the analysis whether the router or the broadcasted radio network and WiFi adapter are WPS-compliant)
- WiFi adapter check (e.g. support of 5 GHz)
- Extensive support for all adapter types (e.g. WiFi extender), modems and vendors (e.g. AVM, Huawei, Arcadyan, ZTE, Ubee, Thomson, Broadcom, Technicolor)
- Dual band support: 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz
- WiFi optimisation: proprietary algorithm for optimal channel calculation (analysis, calculation, selection and automatic setting on the modem; detailed channel view, multi-room analysis)
- WiFi signal measurement: displayed in dBm or % to enhance WiFi range and improve WiFi reception

Coverage and performance for the home Internet
- Add devices easily to the home internet.
- Build a powerful home network.
- Interactive guides, data-displays and illustrated instructions
The Home Network Connectivity Guide (in short: HNCG) is a newly developed module within our self-service and self-care solution m2suite. It supports Internet customers establishing a well-performing Internet access at home with a focus on excellent WiFi and building the required range. In addition, it facilitates connecting additional devices to the home network, from game consoles to tablets.

Nowadays, most households are equipped with a multitude of different Internet devices (e.g. laptops, smartphones, tablets, game consoles, smart TVs). These require the appropriate coverage once connected to the home Internet in order to ensure usage everywhere.
This is precisely where the Home Network Connectivity Guide comes in: it delivers targeted support for setup, optimisation and expansion of a high-performing Internet home network, as well as for the integration of various additional devices. The Home Network Connectivity Guide covers very different use cases and customer needs e.g. home network expansion, interactive instructions for devices and further tools for trouble shooting in the home network.

Selfrepair – intelligent diagnostics and auto-repair
- Drastically reduce the workload for your customer care centers and save costs
- Automatic repair routines for many common errors, expandable through modules
- Users can correct connection errors and dysfunctional settings autonomously
Our selfrepair module provides your customers with a set of powerful features to fix many common errors on their own. The software works directly on the home PC or Mac and even works while offline. Thanks to smart background features, your customers remain online.

Selfrepair uses the communication interfaces provided by the operating system to retrieve essential system information fast and efficiently. Critical system settings are monitored and, if necessary, repaired in real-time.
D.O.D. is a sequential system-check that can be triggered by the user at any time, covering all relevant parameters and followed by a detailed report in case an error has been found. Users can then start an automatic repair attempt or keep the settings as they are. Errors are identified using Unique Error Codes (UEC).

Selfrepair uses numerical Unique Error Codes to identify Internet-related errors. Each additional module (such as WiFi, E-Mail, etc.) supplies additional UECs to the system. If the consumer has to call the help desk, the UECs shorten average handling time (AHT) by pinpointing the issue.
Selfrepair is able to correct most of the detected errors automatically. Links to the help system (integrated into the Core System), FAQs, step-by-step instructions and detailed animated illustrations show the user how to repair errors that can only be solved manually, e.g. the cabling of the modem (if the Modem Management module has been purchased).
The Selfrepair standard edition corrects errors such as deactivated DHCP service, disabled LAN interfaces, disabled TCP/IP or a browser in offline mode. If additional core modules (such as E-Mail, WiFi etc.) have been purchased, errors relating to these topics can also be diagnosed and repaired.
- Diagnosis on Demand – Diagnosis & repair of general, LAN connection and browser errors
- Realtime Intelligent Selfrepair – Online Status in the real-time status report widget
- Plain Text Error description – Help file explaining how to use the software & basic instructions for guided repair
- Link to the ISP's FAQs or other pages

Speed test – measure and optimise connections
- Speed test helps ISPs diagnose speed issues and keep their speed promises towards subscribers.
- Easy to understand results help with optimisation and create opportunities for upselling.
- Measures upload and download as well as ping, comparing the results to the available line speed.
The software performs precise measurements on different locations and with different connection types such as Ethernet and WiFi, then checks the results against the upload and download speeds of the customer’s Internet connection. Thus, detailed results on the current Internet speed are obtained, and possible speed issues are tracked down.

Instead of leaving ISP customers on their own, m2speedtest helps them understand and evaluate the results of the speed measurement, allowing even computer-inexperienced customers to get an overview of their home network performance. By offering recommendations tailored to the specific situation of each and every customer, m2speedtest helps fix Internet problems and improve the performance of the Internet connection in a sustainable manner.

- A short and simple click flow measures upload and download speeds as well as ping rates, comparing the results to the available line speed.
- Colour-coded result displays (traffic-lights system) allow a comprehensible overview and check the existing data transfer rate against home network applications.
- Recommendations and assistance by automated support tools help to increase home network performance.
- The expert view shows further data of the home network that might be useful to track down further error sources.
- The multi-room analysis allows the measuring of the Internet speed at several positions in the customer’s home, then establishing high-quality Internet coverage throughout the customer’s home.
- Distinct IDs and time stamps, as well as individual naming of the measured locations and a history of the measured results provide clarity and an easier comparison of the measurements.
- Reducing support calls – By offering comprehensible and target-group oriented support, m2speedtest effectively reduces call centre cost.
- Gaining data from the customer’s home network – During the measurements, m2speedtest collects valuable data from the customer’s home network and provides these to the ISP in an anonymised way through the mquadr.at analytics platform.
- Context-related and demand-oriented cross and upselling offers such as WiFi extenders, Powerline adapters or more performant Internet packages are no longer perceived as obtrusive ads by the customer but as helpful offers.

Internet Security tools: optimal protection when surfing
- Overall security status in real-time displays at a glance, whether the computer system is sufficiently protected.
- Immediate optimisation of security components due to user education and automated updates.
- Simple deleting of Internet traces reduces security risks and protects the user’s privacy while surfing.
The Internet Security tools of m2suite help Internet users to keep the security status of their computer system up-to-date and to protect their privacy. For ISPs the tools offer a proactive approach towards the important topic of Internet security as well as encourage outstanding customer service. At the same time, call centre calls concerning this topic are reduced due to automated problem solving.

The m2suite security features can be flexibly integrated into any desktop of m2suite. The two desktops especially suitable for this topic are the existing Internet & Computer desktop and the newly designed Internet & Security desktop.

The users are guided through the analysis and optimisation steps and supported with automated processes.
The Internet Security widget displays the overall security status (“Your system is protected” / “Your system is not protected”) as well as the most important security components of the computer system (firewall, anti-virus protection, security updates etc.) in real-time.
In case one of the components causes a security gap, the user is able to immediately improve the respective settings with the help of the optimisation flows behind it. Subsequently, via the refreshed Internet Security widget, the user can make sure that the optimisation was carried out successfully.
The Internet cleaner offers a simple and secure way to delete browser data that are no longer needed and thus better protects the user’s privacy while surfing.
All browsers that are installed on the system are scanned for potentially deletable data. Users receive an initial selection of data that can be deleted without further concern, but they can also manually select the data via checkboxes. For a better understanding, the listed components are explained shortly in a tool tip.
With a click on the delete button, the clean-up is completed and a success announcement with the number of deleted files displayed.
